Our Story
Yaama, I’m Tezzi
Cooee Native Superfoods was founded by Terri-Ann “Tezzi” Daniel, a proud Wiradjuri woman, from real-life family experience. As a mother of seven children, including triplets, she navigated a wide range of dietary requirements in her household, including coeliac, dairy-free and vegan needs, while also managing a nut-free environment. Her goal was simple: to create treats that everyone could enjoy together. Food is used to celebrate occasions, and it should be inclusive, so she wanted to make treats that were as allergy-friendly as possible.
From this need, weekly experimentation with gluten-free and vegan recipes began, Tezzi focused on creating food that was both safe and enjoyable for the whole family. What started in a home kitchen grew into a broader purpose of making allergy-friendly, inclusive food accessible to more people.
From there, the guiding philosophy became clear:
“Kindness is our kinda thing.”

Today, we celebrate culture, kindness and inclusivity through plant-based, allergy-friendly products that incorporate Indigenous ingredients into every bite.
We are also committed to meaningful social impact, employing Indigenous and non-Indigenous women with a focus on flexible remote work opportunities that support women in rural communities. We continue to strengthen the native food supply chain by supporting Indigenous growers and reinvesting success back into Indigenous communities.
Every flavour and artwork reflects Indigenous heritage, family history, and community connection. At our heart, Cooee is about sharing food that is safe, inclusive, and made to bring people together—celebrating culture, care, and connection in every product.
With each Cooee product, we're not just sharing a piece of our story, we're inviting you to be a part of something bigger.
